Meet the founder

Melissa Sanchez

As the Founder of the Greater Philadelphia Women in Business Alliance and Advisor at Procision Commercial Realty & Procision Business Brokers, Melissa takes procuring relationships to the next level, turning connections into lasting business partnerships.

In 2023, Melissa founded the Greater Philadelphia Women in Business Alliance after recognizing the absence of a women's community that seamlessly connected accomplished businesswomen between South Jersey, Delaware and Philadelphia. She set out to build the room she wanted to be in: a community where women don't just exchange business cards, they spawn business, ideas and real opportunities.

As the Alliance's founder and driving force, Melissa leads with a simple philosophy — relationships are the most valuable asset in business, and they deserve to be built with intention. She designs every gathering around that belief, from business summits, panel events, speed networking sessions that spark collaboration to casual meetups where the conversation goes deeper. Her goal is a room full of women in business who leave with a new client, new connections and a new way of thinking about their business.

Under her leadership, the Alliance has become more than a networking group, it's a growing network of women who genuinely do business together and champions the wins of other women. She knows every strong community needs someone willing to build and nurture it.

Her work with the Greater Philadelphia Women in Business Alliance and at Procision Commercial Realty & Procision Business Brokers are two sides of the same coin. Whether she's advising a client on the sale of a property, brokering a sale of a client's company or introducing two members who go on to become business partners, Melissa is in the business of bringing the right people together for successful business engagements.

Our Logo

Read about the heartbeat of our alliance

The Greater Philadelphia Women in Business Alliance logo tells us a story that feels both powerful and deeply personal. At its center is a woman, standing tall with elegance and confidence, symbolizing her will to build, lead, create, and support others. Her presence reminds us that true strength is not only found in standing alone, but in standing within a community of shared values and visions.

Wrapped around her is the Liberty Bell. Here she becomes something larger than herself. A symbol that so gracefully ties her to her City of Philadelphia. Symbolizing her community, voice, and the enduring spirit her city that was brutally built on: resilience, courage and history.

The circle ties her together, representing unity, connection, friendship, and support. Because a circle has no beginning and no end, it reflects a bond that is continuous and unbroken — a community that keeps going, keeps growing, and keeps showing up for one another. It symbolizes a network of women who celebrate each other’s wins and encourage space for new opportunities to emerge.

Together, these elements create a logo that is more than visually striking. It is a reflection of what the Greater Philadelphia Women in Business Alliance stands for: women doing business together, lifting one another higher, and creating meaningful opportunity through connection, education, and shared purpose.
