Last updated August 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the Greater Philadelphia Women in Business Alliance (“GPWBA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information in connection with greaterphiladelphiawba.com (the “Site”). By submitting information through the Site, you acknowledge the practices described below.

Information we collect

We collect personal information only where you affirmatively provide it to us. We do not require registration to browse the Site, and we do not purchase or acquire personal information from data brokers.

  • Information you submit. When you complete our membership interest, sponsorship inquiry, or contact form, we collect the information entered in those fields, which may include your name, email address, telephone number, company, role, LinkedIn or Facebook profile URL, the sponsorship category selected, and the contents of your message.
  • Technical information. Our hosting provider automatically records standard server log data, including IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for the purposes of delivering the Site, maintaining security, and diagnosing faults.

We do not request or intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal information, including government identifiers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health information. Please do not submit such information through the Site.

What we do not collect

To state plainly what the Site does not do:

  • There are no user accounts and no passwords. Browsing the Site requires no registration of any kind.
  • We do not process payments through the Site and never collect card or bank details.
  • We run no web analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or cross-site tracking, and we set no advertising cookies.
  • We do not use your information to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not provide it to any third party for that purpose.
  • We do not purchase personal information or contact lists from data brokers.

Purposes for which we use information

We use the personal information described above solely to:

  • respond to your inquiry and correspond with you about it;
  • evaluate and administer membership and sponsorship interest that you have initiated;
  • operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site, and to comply with applicable law or respond to lawful requests.

We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising, for profiling, or to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Disclosure to service providers

We disclose personal information only to service providers that process it on our behalf, under contract, and solely to provide services to us:

  • Vercel Inc. hosts the Site and processes server log data described above (privacy policy).
  • n8n GmbH operates the automated workflow that routes form submissions to us (privacy policy).
  • Google LLC provides the email account at which we receive and store form submissions and correspondence (privacy policy).
  • Storyblok GmbH hosts the content management system that stores the text and images published on the Site (privacy policy). It does not receive form submissions or other personal information about visitors.

We may also disclose personal information where required by law, court order, or other legal process, or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. In the event of a merger, dissolution, or transfer of our activities, information may be transferred to a successor organization subject to this Policy.

We do not sell or share personal information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable United States state privacy laws. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

Cookies and tracking technologies

The Site does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not operate any web analytics, pixel, or cross-site tracking service on it. Cookies strictly necessary to deliver the Site may be set by our hosting provider. Because we do not track visitors across sites, we do not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

Retention

We retain personal information by category:

  • Membership and sponsorship inquiries: for the duration of the membership or sponsorship relationship, and for up to twenty-four months following our last correspondence with you if no relationship is established.
  • General contact messages: for up to twenty-four months following our last correspondence with you.
  • Server logs: retained by our hosting provider for a limited period in accordance with its own retention schedule, and not otherwise copied or archived by us.

We may retain information for a longer period where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. You may request deletion at any time as described below.

Security

We maintain reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request its correction or deletion, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. We honor these requests regardless of your state of residence and will not discriminate against you for making one.

To exercise any of these rights, email greaterphiladelphiawba@gmail.com. We will acknowledge your request promptly and respond within forty-five days, or within any shorter period required by applicable law, and may need to verify your identity before acting on it. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

California residents

In the twelve months preceding the date of this Policy, we have collected the following categories of personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended: identifiers (name, email address, telephone number, IP address); professional or employment-related information (company and role); internet or network activity (server log data); and the contents of communications you send us. Each category is collected for the business purposes described above, from you directly or automatically through your use of the Site, and is disclosed only to the service providers identified above.

We have not sold or shared personal information, and we do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of consumers under sixteen years of age. California residents may exercise the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out, and will not receive discriminatory treatment for doing so.

Visitors in the EEA and the United Kingdom

Where the General Data Protection Regulation or the UK GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing are your consent, given when you voluntarily submit a form; our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries, administering membership and sponsorship, and securing the Site; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. Where information is transferred to the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards or the derogation for transfers necessary for the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request.

Children’s privacy

The Site is directed to adults engaged in business and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any individual under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Location of processing

We operate in the United States, and information submitted through the Site is processed in the United States. Our content management provider stores published Site content on servers located in the European Union. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative.
